NEW GENERAL MANAGER/PGA GOLF PROFESSIONAL
We are very excited to announce and welcome Rodger Jabara, one of Northern Michigan’s most well known golf professionals, to lead Bay Meadows as our new General Manager/PGA Golf Professional in 2008. Rodger has over 30 years of experience in the golf business and comes to us from Crystal Mountain Resort. Prior to that, he was the Director of Golf at Shanty Creek Resort, and the Head Golf Professional at the Schuss Mountain Golf Club. During the winter, Rodger operates his own ski shop at the base of Schuss Mountain, and this summer will be stocking our pro shop with exciting new merchandise.
NEW GOLF COURSE SUPERINTENDENT
We are also very pleased to announce and welcome Mike Ver Hage to Bay Meadows. Mike is a graduate of the Turfgrass Management Program at Michigan State University, and comes to Bay Meadows with vast experience in all types of golf course operations. Most recently, Mike was an Assistant Superintendent at the Kingsley Club, with prior experience at other well recognized Northern Michigan golf courses including A-Ga-Ming, Grandview, Shanty Creek, High Pointe, and the Grand Traverse Resort.
Both Rodger and Mike will strive to continue the tradition of providing affordable, family friendly golf at Bay Meadows while creating a positive and rewarding experience for all golfers. We are very fortunate and thrilled to have Rodger and Mike join our team to help make the 2008 golf season even more challenging and enjoyable!
